This number is growing on a daily basis which is a great help to those shoppers trying to make a purchasing decision from a wide range of products.

Our top reviews at a glance
The most popular brand is Apple (average valuation: 4.6 out of 5 stars). The brand with the most reviews however, is Samsung: these mobile phones have been commented on and reviewed about 2,800 times. With reference to individual mobile phone models, the following 3 Smartphones have received the most reviews:
1st place – Samsung Galaxy S ii 9100 black 555 reviews, average star rating of 4,8
2nd place – Samsung Galaxy S i9000 metallic-black 437 reviews, average star rating of 4,4
3rd place – iPhone 4 16 GB, black 378 reviews, average star rating of 4,6
Also: we are extremely pleased that our own Base Lutea 2 in glossy piano black has come in at 9th place with 158 reviews and an average star rating of 4.0.
Almost 2,000 reviews a month!
We have only been working with Shopzilla for just over a year, which makes the large amount of reviews that we have collected even more surprising. The review solution first appeared on the Base.de website on the 20. December 2010. (We invited you all to take part in submitting reviews in this blog and got great feedback). Currently, we are receiving on average around 1800 reviews per month, and this figure increases daily. All reviews are read and checked daily by our colleagues, who work in a team of 3 people before they are approved. Lots for us to read!
Who are the people submitting the reviews?
From the 10,000 reviews we have received, approximately 60% are submitted by verified customers (“verified buyers”) and are therefore particularly believable. A further 20% of reviewers are “verified reviewers,” whose E-Mail address we have verified and know. All further reviews are anonymous. Of course our fellow employees are also allowed to review products, but we don’t actively ask them to do this as we want to see your reviews in the first instance.
What else is planned for mobile phone reviews?
We think that reviews and customer opinions are a clear case for the social web. This is why we would like to work on having a Facebook interface. You will then be able to review products in Facebook and have the reviews appear on your wall.
