Non-Buyer Survey

The non-buyer survey is our newest addition to the Consumer Insights suite of services, and serves a very valuable purpose. Unlike the buyer survey which only reaches those who make a purchase on your site, the non-buyer survey is pitched to people who leave without buying.

Data from this survey can give you valuable insight into any weaknesses of your website, such as issues when checking out, problems in your navigation, unclear pricing or a host of other buying barriers that you may be unaware of.

The non-buyer survey invitation is delivered via a pop-up after visitors have left your site. The invitation is DHTML and approved by Google to be in non-violation of their no-pop standards, so it won’t fall foul of pop-up blockers.

You choose which pages of your website can serve the invitation, the percentage of traffic that sees the invitation, how often the invitation is shown to the same visitor across multiple session, and the location of the invitation when it appears on screen.

Exit Survey

Via the survey, exiting visitors tell you why they left your site, which then triggers a dynamic question on the specifics of why they left at this time. This gives you valuable data on people who:

  • Browsed the site and left
  • Put items in the cart but left before checkout
  • Left the site during the checkout process

The people who leave during these stages may have very different reasons for doing so, and by asking different questions of these types of visitors, you get valuable, actionable data that can convert future lost sales into purchases.

As well as the reasons for abandonment, the survey also addresses the key loyalty metric of how likely the respondent would be to recommend your website. It also includes open question where respondents can leave comments. As with the buyer survey, these can be emailed to you in real time so you can reply directly to the customer if you wish to do so.

All data from the survey is gathered and collated by Shopzilla, and delivered to you in the form of reports by email, or available online at any time on our Business Services website.
